Choose Your Own Adventure Mixtape Series
In the beginning I wanted to call them Recyclable Mixes, because that’s what they are; each track intended to be re-used out of context, and unwanted tracks deleted. Personally, I just add all complete mixes into one playlist in iTunes, then play them on random. These days it’s what I play every time I have company.

Its cool because once you have a bunch of these tracks all together, you’ll end up hearing like, Sam Cooke followed by Snoop, but it’ll sound fresh. I compressed all the audio a bit, and adjusted track volumes, so like, genre to genre to genre still don’t sound annoying. Also, in case you aren’t awesome already, make sure your iTunes preferences aren’t doing that crossfading crap, and if you’re on an older iTunes, also select ‘no space between songs,’ or whatever it’s called.

Also, I edit all the tracks down. Rarely is a song more than 2 minutes, but I cut and chop, and almost always play the ‘whole song.’ Call me American, but when I am listening to music in mixes or at parties, I do not want to hear full songs. But call me old fashioned, because I don’t want to hear dj blends either. These mixes are my solution to this self-proclaimed problem. Feel free to re-dj them and blend them whatever.
